The diviner would act as an intermediary between this world and the spiritual world. People would go and consult with the diviner for the resolution for a host of problems from medical to social. The divination instrument depicts a woman kneeling. Her kneeling figure has been incorporated into the design and natural pattern of the spring buck’s horn. This instrument would most probably been used in a shrine to an Orisha. This is a very unusal piece.
