This beautifully striking sculpture is of a young African girl. This eye-catching sculpture has been carved out of tiger ebony – which is lighter in colour than the more known dark brown/black ebony. It’s called tiger ebony due to the darker streaks that runs through the wood. The tiger ebony allows the natural grain and pattern of this hard wearing wood to be clearly seen and appreciated. This sculpture is charmingly simplistic but striking.
