Junjun Drum
The Junjun drum along with other African drum have played an important part in African oral history. African drums had many usages one of the better known one was that they were used as a form of communication. This was due to the fact that they could be heard clearly over large distances. African drums such as the Junjun drum were used to call warriors to war and to signal the end of wars. They were also used in ceremonies such as initiations and celebrations such as births and harvests.
Our Junjun drum has been hand carved out of one piece of wood and dyed. It has also been decorated with an elaborate eye catching design, which ensures that this Junjun drum stands out at as an impressive African musical instrument.
