Nigerian Body Adornment Book – African Literature

This is a great book for anyone wanting to find out more about the history and meanings of some Nigerian scarification marks, hairstyles and costume. The content lists is as follows: ‘Tribal Marks, Hairdressing in Nigeria, Craftsmanship in Jewellery, Cloth manufacture in Nigeria, Robes of State, Costume and Ornament associated with ritual Ceremonies, Traditional Nigerian Costume. This book is a great example of documentary African Literature. Nigerian Body Adornment is quite insightful. The author is Eve de Negri. The book was published as part of a special group publication for Nigerian Magazine in 1969 and is no longer in print. This book is in very good condition. Including the biography, this book has 128 pages.
